Snowflake Consulting Partners Ecosystem Update

Written by Alten Capital | May 26, 2025

We shared our updated views last year (https://alten.capital/blog/data-series-snowflake-services-partner-ecosystem-update) and initial views on Snowflake in early 2023 (https://alten.capital/blog/snowflake-services-partner-ecosystem-snapshot). Snowflake is a data cloud platform that started as a cloud data warehouse for structured data. It evolved into a multi-format in-store with more than 11,000 enterprise customers and 3,000 listings on its marketplace (https://www.snowflake.com/).

Snowflake is a pure-play leader in cloud data storage and manipulation, participating in markets similar to those of Databricks and the hyperscalers. As is common, established software platforms create partner ecosystems to drive the adoption of their tools. Snowflake has technology partners and consulting/implementation partners in its program. Below is a snapshot of the current services partner network and a comparison with last year’s analysis.

Snowflake currently has approximately 630 services (consulting and implementation) partners worldwide, who employ more than 6.7 million professionals (in all disciplines) and hold around 15,000 Snowflake certifications (certs). The majority are in North America, with Europe coming in second.

As we see in other services partner ecosystems, this one is also quite fragmented. A third of the partners have fewer than 100 employees, and 60% of the services partners have fewer than 500 team members. Smaller players are niche data engineering and data analytics/science companies, given the ratio of certifications to their employee count. 22% of headcount in the lowest headcount tier of less than 50 employees hold Snowflake certs (12% in the 50-99 tier and 6% in the 100-499 tier hold Snowflake certs).

Let's compare our 2024 data with this 2025 snapshot. Snowflake increased its number of services partners by 35% in one year, with a decrease in Latin America and the highest increase in the Middle East. The number of certs doubled in a year, indicating an increased focus on this data practice.

The number of small and midsize consulting and implementation partners grew the most last year. Larger SIs recently increased their certifications, signaling the relevance of the Snowflake data practice within their enterprise customers.
