Denodo is a data management software company founded in 1999 as a university research project. Researchers worked around the challenge of integrating and accessing large volumes of enterprise data, and this resulted in the development of data virtualization technology, which became the basis for Denodo’s commercial platform. Denodo launched its first product, Denodo Platform 1.0, in 2002. The company expanded internationally and moved its headquarters to Silicon Valley in 2006, while maintaining significant operations in Spain.
