Databricks is a software company focused on data engineering, analytics, and artificial intelligence infrastructure. Founded in 2013 by the creators of Apache Spark, the company develops a cloud-based platform that supports large-scale data processing, analytics, and machine learning workloads across enterprise environments. The company reports more than 20,000 customers globally (https://www.databricks.com/). 

The Databricks platform combines data warehousing, data engineering, machine learning, and AI development capabilities within a unified architecture commonly referred to as the “lakehouse” model. Over time, the company expanded its offerings into areas such as generative AI, governance, and enterprise AI infrastructure, supporting organizations managing analytics and AI-related data environments. Databricks created a consulting and services partner program to help with platform adoption, implementation and maintenance.
