Odoo Services Partner Ecosystem

Written by Alten Capital | July 17, 2024

Originally from Belgium, Odoo is an ERP platform providing a business application suite. Since its inception in 2005, Odoo (https://www.odoo.com/) has become a valid option for the 12 million users (free and paid) seeking to integrate various business operations, from sales and CRM to inventory management and accounting. In addition to the open-source version, the company now offers a hosted version of its platform.

To support the adoption and implementation of its platform, Odoo has developed a partner program. This program includes a diverse range of systems integrators (SIs) and service partners who assist clients in implementing and optimizing Odoo's applications. Below is an Odoo services partner ecosystem analysis.

Odoo Partners Regional Distribution
Odoo lists approximately 2,600 service partners, of which we could not find relevant data for ~700 companies.  The regional breakdown of the 1,888 remaining partners is as follows:

Europe and South America host the most significant number of partners, accounting for 27% and 26% of the total, respectively. Odoo has gained adoption in emerging markets given its free and open-source approach, with the capability to upgrade to hosted, paid versions of the platform.

Odoo Partners Headcount Distribution
Analyzing the partner headcount tiers provides further insights into the size and scale of Odoo's partners:

This is a fragmented ecosystem, with 86% of partners having fewer than 50 employees (3% of total headcount). The largest partner is a worldwide recognized management consulting firm with an Odoo practice that generally skews the numbers.
