Last year we explored Oracle's evolution from a database management company into a top cloud technology player (https://alten.capital/blog/oracle-cloud-services-partner-ecosystem). Here is an update on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s (OCI) services partner ecosystem.
Like the top hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, and GCP), OCI has an SI partner ecosystem that assists with implementing and adopting OCI’s infrastructure. This consulting network grew to ~450 partners (~40% growth) from last year. The highest growth was seen in the smaller-scale consulting and implementation firms.
A quarter of services partners are in North America, with another quarter in Europe. As is typical of services companies, most of the headcount is in Asia (primarily India).
More than half of OCI’s services partners are smaller boutiques with fewer than 100 team members showing a high level of fragmentation in the space.
